Why Teach the Tabernacle of Moses?

As modern-day readers of the Bible‚ we tend to skim over the detailed and often tedious texts of the Old Testament and focus instead on the simpler sections of the New Testament. It is tempting to relegate the 50 chapters in the Books of Moses devoted to the tabernacle as irrelevant or boring. After all‚ how are all the intricate plans for a 15th century B.C. collapsible structure useful to us as 21st-century Christians?

Just like Jesus’ parables served to illustrate and bring His teachings to life‚ so the Old Testament visuals serve to illuminate many spiritual concepts in the New Testament.

By omitting the tabernacle in our teaching‚ we are actually neglecting a powerful and necessary tool that God had prepared for us to understand the work of Christ on the cross...

product looks good. Have not been able to look close at it yet. Am beginning to paint the items so they look more life like. It's interesting to read about how the tabernacle was built, but to put this together and see how it was really constructed and what the people had to do to put this up and tear it down when they moved. WOW.Good visual item.

  3. Great teaching Tool 5 Star Review

Having a visual to help explain God's plan has really brought greater understanding to my 5 through 9-year-olds. I made labels for the different items and they practice placing them on the correct part. This purchase was very worth every penny. May God be glorified as His Word goes forth and many souls saved.
(Oh, and my husband used it for a Bible study at the nursing home and there was great interest.)

  4. Easy way to learn 5 Star Review

The first Sunday I used this model, parent said that her boys talked about the Tabernacle all week. Have used home-made models, but this is worth the $. My 3 classes, ages 5 to 81, now know the tabernacle parts, what they were used for, and how they relate to New Testament.

The Letter to the Hebrews is filled with references to the worship and the sacrifices in the Tabernacle. What better way to undergird this teaching than with the visible structure and furnishings of this unique spiritual center? The detail and quality is excellent.

  6. Perfect for Temple prep 5 Star Review

I have the opportunity to teach people on occasion what I might to prepare them to enter our Temples (I'm LDS) and this product is a perfect item to help explain the Tabernacle and prepare people's minds for what is to come when they enter the Holy Temple.

We are going to construct this model as part of our Sunday School lesson. A great way for kids to see what each piece is and what it represents.

  8. Wonderful teaching aid 4 Star Review

The price is steep for the quality. This is the second set that we have purchased. The first set we purchased for our daughter, when she was learning about the OT Sanctuary. Then our house burned, so now we bought another one so our son could have the same experience.
